Our Conference includes approximately 265 local unions under the Teamsters banner throughout the United States and Canada, representing bakery sales drivers, snack food drivers, and laundry drivers.

The Bakery and Laundry Conference is a voluntary organization, which consists of four national officers and a policy committee of approximately 20 members from all regions in North America. The function of the committee is to exchange information on contracts negotiated on both sides of the border and in particular, coordinate information on national companies. The information exchange helps the committee plan strategies that strengthen and expand our membership and aides in negotiating even stronger contracts.

The conference has been credited with being the oldest conference within the International Union and currently represents more than 80,000 members. We are dedicated to serving our members and strive to stay in tune with their needs and concerns.

We believe by working together, sharing information, resources and experience and presenting a strong, united front to employers, we can continue to protect the interests of all our working families.
