Brewery & Soft Drink Conference

About the Conference

Welcome to the Brewery and Soft Drink Conference web page. We hope this web site will serve as a source of information on the latest developments in the Conference.
Jack Cipriani
Conference Director
The Brewery and Soft Drink Conference is the beverage trade division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. We bring together all of the Teamster locals in the U.S.A. and Canada with membership employed in the brewing and soft drink industries, as well as allied industries such as fruit juices, wine coolers, bottled water and can manufacturing.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Assistance in contract negotiations;

  • Organizing;

  • Implementation of National Master Agreements;

  • Administration of Grievance Panels; and

  • Coordination of Legislative Activity.

The Conference has a proud history. Some locals date back to the 19th Century. Although once competitive with the AFL-CIO United Brewery Workers, the two unions merged in 1973 to form the Teamsters Brewery and Soft Drink Workers Conference.

As a result, almost every national brand of beer in the United States is produced under union contract. Better than 80 percent of these workers are Teamsters.

By using the technology available we can be more responsive to the needs of the membership and those future workers interested in securing a strong Teamster contract. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for joining us in the constant fight for worker’s rights.
